What is Intro to Bikepacking?
Are you comfortable riding on mixed surfaces and looking to try bikepacking for the first time? RSVP to join BikePOC PNW for our first all-BIPOC, all-gender Intro to Bikepacking series.
This is intended as a supported introduction to bikepacking, structured as a three part series that will culminate in a mixed-surface, one-night bikepacking trip.

Description:
Are you comfortable riding on gravel and looking to try bikepacking for the first time? Join our three part series to build a strong foundation for bikepacking and culminating in an an all-BIPOC bike overnight in Mt. Hood National Forest.
Join BikePOC PNW leaders (Arely, Young-Eun & Francisco) from Sat, September 14th through Sun, September 15th for the Frog Lake Loop in Mt. Hood National Forest. This is a 45 mile round-trip for first time bikepackers (intermediate gravel riders) with one night of camping. We'll be riding along four lakes in the Mt. Hood National Forest, with a mix of gravel, pavement, and singletrack.
Space is limited to 8 people to ensure a fun and welcoming experience. Once capacity is filled, other applicants will be added to the waitlist.
The series includes:
A Virtual Bikepacking Q&A on 8/12 at 6pm to discuss setups and ask your burning questions about gear and preparation.
Shakedown Ride Dinner at Mt. Tabor Community Garden on 8/28 at 6pm to meet, test setups, and iron out any wrinkles before the ride. To ensure a successful trip for all participants, registrants must attend the shakeout ride.
The Frog Lake Loop Overnight - a 45 mile round-trip, bikepacking trip with one night of camping. We'll be riding along four lakes in the Mt. Hood National Forest, with a mix of gravel, pavement, and singletrack.
