It’s time to get back in the saddle and see each other face to face. Cycle Oregon’s Community Bike Block Party will get us all connected as we ride into the new season.
Cycle Oregon is closing SE Sherman Street between 10th & 11th next to Baerlic Brewing for valet bike parking, bike rodeo courses for folks of all ages and they’ll have an expo inside and outside with Oregon brands, community partners and riding groups. Their mission is to bring the joy of riding a bicycle to all of Oregon!

Oxbow Regional Park
Join us for a family/friend reunion inspired campout, where you can connect with yourself and each other at the deepest levels in the beautiful outdoors. Whether you’re a new or seasoned camper, this is an opportunity to unplug from the hustle and bustle, and just be present. For some that’ll mean hiking on the trails, napping in a hammock, or chilling by the river.
Who: This is an inclusive campout in celebration of diversity outdoors
When: Friday, July 26th at 4pm to Sunday, July 28th at 12pm
Where: Oxbow Regional Park (3010 SE Oxbow Pkwy, Gresham, OR 97080) - beautiful river, trails, playground, bathrooms, showers, and water onsite. No pets allowed at this campground though.
Cost: Thanks to sponsorship by Oregon Metro & Built Oregon, we're able to provide this campout as a free community event and have an incredible private group space.
Organizers: Fridie Outdoors, Bike POC, Friends on Bikes, PDX People of Color Outdoors, and Black Earth United.

July 27th - 28th at Oxbow Regional Park
☀️ Our summer campout is here! RSVP to join Friends on Bikes and BikePOC PNW on a ride to the Reunion Campout from Sat, July 27th to Sun, July 28th for a bikecamping trip to Oxbow Regional Park! This is a 54 mile (round-trip) ride with one night of camping, riverside and camp hangs.
✨ Who this trip is for: Please respect that this ride is reserved for Black, Indigenous and people of color of all genders.
🗓️ Time: Meet at Laurelhurst Park at 10:30am on Sat, July 27th and will arrive back in Portland mid-late afternoon on Sun, July 28th. Riders also have the option to day ride and independently ride back on 7/27 or get a ride back from Oxbow the next day if they coordinate on their own.
🌿 Route: Primarily biking on the I-205 multi-path, Springwater Corridor and neighborhood roads. All paved. One way is 27 miles, 900 ft elevation.
💖 Gear: Bring sleeping bags, tent, cooking gear, clothes to sleep in and ride in, bike lights, snacks and food. Riders can plan to carry all their own camp supplies (food/water/shelter/tools) or drop beforehand to have carried to the campsite. If you need to borrow camping and/or cycling gear, please let us know and we’ll do our best to provide what you need.
🏕️ Camping: We’ll be camping as part of the Fridie Outdoors Reunion campout. Showers, water, and restrooms available.
